The newest version of the SmartBPM Suite (5.4) makes it easier for business users to get started with BPM, further expedites product development speeds time to market, and offers a set of new globalization accelerators.

New features that make it even easier for business users to engage in planning and managing a portfolio of business improvement initiatives.

• Application Profiler: allows business users to capture goals directly into the system. Entering business goals is simple and direct, using natural language statements to communicate the goals and business needs. The Application Profiler also allows these goals to act as test cases to ensure that the solution measures up to expectations. Because these goals are captured directly into the system, they evolve along with it, easing a build for change approach.
• Process Mapping: Now any first-time business user can quickly and authoritatively work top-down to sketch out a new process, storyboard user screens, and indicate required integration points. Business architects can later "play back" the process maps to fill in the details.
• Visual Case Manager allows fraud case managers to work visually and intuitively, drawing connections on a dynamic, visual map. By interacting visually with the underlying case management system, fraud investigation officers can discover patterns, draw unforeseen connections, and easily spin-off new cases.
• Internet Application Composer makes it easy for business users to imagine re-use of SmartBPM components or existing back-office applications quickly and directly onto their existing web applications. While this is normally a time consuming and code-intensive process; Pegasystems has collapsed the distance between imagination and execution, eliminating costly delays and coding.

• Test Management Framework: collects all of the tests, and then manages and optimizes the workflow required to fully test the solution against business requirements. • Project Management Framework: helps organizations to manage their diverse SmartBPM projects for business improvement, especially when shared resources are deployed across multiple areas. As with the Test Management Framework, the Project Management Framework uses SmartBPM workflow and case management system to monitor, optimize and drive to completion the very tasks associated with solution development.
